Bleah. I'm surrounded by scholars for this trip. There'll only be 4 non-scholars going =s And since they're scholars, tt mean they're at the upper end of the school in term of academic excellence while I'm at the other end of it. My CT has even approach Mr.Tan and gives hint that she wants him to pull me out but unfortunately for her, the final decision lies on me and I'm not the type of person who back out once I've made my commitment =P Besides, since my roommates in Manado are all scholars and we have a 2-4hrs free time each night, I might be tempted to study myself when all those scholars are studying =P For me, Manado trip = 1wk of miss lesson = 1wk of experience = 1 lifetime of memories =))
Luckily, I've no problem being around scholars. I've known Bryan, Charlie, Vattey, Trang, Hanh, Mia, Zhi Yao, Hsien Wei and alot of others too through other events so working with them again this time round is a no-problem situation for me =P They may be scholars but there're certainly not nerds, as I've found out during the Ogl camp =P
Went for the camp after Friday's lesson ended. Had a briefing for 2 hours straight before joining the Ogls for their BBQ dinner O_o Then join Bernard's Og for nite game. Didnt really enjoy it since the atmosphere was ... dead =s The first Orientation-related camp I've been to that has this atmosphere =s Only when it's song singing session did the atmosphere really came to 'life'. It sure take its time to appear. Then the nxt morning, there was the usual traditional fire drill. An astounding 14 people went missing! Initially, there were 10 MIA but when everyone went to search for the missing 10, another 4 went MIA =s Lol, out of the 14, only 6 were rope in to assist in the 'play-acting' Dont know what happen to the other 8. While they were having their scolding lessons, the Manado people were happily dozing away at one corner. Apparently, we were the only Og that has a full strenght for the drill =P Their scolding is kinda lenient though. No shoutings by Mr.Tan. Last yr, we had to endure 2 hrs of lecture by Mr.Ng, Mr.Liao and Mr.Tan until it was time for PT. Still can remember sth about a commando buddy system where a commando has to eat a buddy's vomit if the unlucky soul was to vomit =s Then, we had the slackest PT ever. Didnt even break a sweat. Didnt join the Ogls for World of Combat.
Instead, we went to do our Manado preparation instead. Finish painting the banner and making the prepatations for mass dance over there. Btw, I'm dance attach again and my dance partner this time is... Trang =P Haha...so lucky to have 3 great MAIN dance partner in my 2 yrs in JJ. Mellissa in last year orientation, Wanxian in last yr pre-u sem & this yr orientation and now Trang. She's v.coollah. Everything abt her is unique, especially the way she does the 'Mmm.Hmm. Goes a little green frog one day' song. She's so cheerful that she affects everyone around her. Although she's 11/2 yrs older than me, working with her is going to be a breeze =P There's a slight problem though. I've been assign to teach the Manado peeps the dance step for 'Oh My Darling' since Trang cant remember some of the moves =s *Think I'm going to teach her so SHE can teach the Indo ppl the dance =P
Btw, apparently the J1 *new* mass dance is 5 colors. Yupe. It's THAT 5 colors. J2's batch dance. I cant believe it when I hear it. I know it's a fun dance. I enjoy dancing it but really, I very much prefer if the dance is preserved for J2. At least, wait for us to graduate before using the dance again =s There's a reason why it's called a BATCH dance. And it's not only me who's disappointed...ciao
