Went to watch JJ's soccer semis after watching scary movie 4 since it's movie day =P The movie wasnt tt bad. Not as 'dirty' as SC3. It was too short though. *Wonder who will pay 8 bucks to watch a 1hr 15min movie o_O
Anyway, so I went to the hall. 'Revise' some cheers for use during the match. I've never like cheering with the counsillors and Ogls when watching a soccer match. Somehow, I feel that their cheers are...wrong. Soccer cheering shld have the 'flow', sth that our JJ cheerleaders are sorely lacking. As a result, I dont really join in whenever they cheer.
During the match, they did something really inappropriate. They cheer during the 1st minute, the most crucial part of the match when intense concentration has to be observed by our soccer team. As a result, they concede an early goal, sth that would haunt us all later. And they keep cheering at the wrong time...during corners, freekicks, when opps are injured yet when it's time to cheer, they didnt, during half-time, during free play and when our own players are injured( to give encouragement). At least they redeem themselves slightly by giving a good cheer AFTER the match ended. I heard that they cheered badly too during the rugby's final. Had a lot of my Ogls friends who complain abt them.
Truft be told, I do not like the person leading the cheers. He is too proud for my liking. If it was the J2 counsillors leading the cheering, the outcome might be different. To lose at a moment of lapse concentration, that is really disappointing. But JJ make some tactical error as well. This is the same exact scenario as the VJ match. Same players, same timing of the only goal and the same outcome. They shld have use their best player right from the beginning. Though I expected JJ to lose, to do so in such a manner and when we were so close to the finals, it's really heartbreaking. Well, at least we'll finish off third. Yes, I believe we'll win SA. They struggle against VJ and we shld not have any problems with them even though they might have national players.
Then after the match was over, F4 ogls, both J1 and J2 had a dinner together. About 8 of us went. Went to the nearby Prata cafe and spent 2 hrs there. 1 hr waiting for food and 1 hr for eating o_O Then went westmall with Cuimin and Sokkin to buy something. Had fun chatting with them though was bored when they spent 30min just to buy one shirt o_O And they were only deciding between two choices =s If they had a whole shop to choose from, most probably they will only finish deciding what to buy when morning come! All this just for something to wear during talentime. Bet if it was their prom, they will take a month finding something to wear =s...ciao
