Hmm...was "researching" on Pochong when I came across this website...http://www.isavo.net/ghost1/ha10.htm...local ghost stories...some seem real and scary while others are downright hilarious...have fun reading them =x
Anyway, about the Pochong...it seems I was wrong. Pochong actually came about bcos the knots were tied too tightly. That's why they jump around seeking ppl to untie the knots for them. Thankz to Faizal for clarifying this. Legend has it that if you managed to catch a Pochong and untie it's knots, it'll grant you powerful black magic powers. However, if you're thinking of hunting one, do note that Pochong are extremely agile and are known to be able to jump 50-100m at one shot s_S However, if you saw one, it wont disturb you if you dont disturb it...so, the element of surprise is on your side =P As for me, I would rather encounter little Miss Pon than our dear Mr White Cloth...simply bcos, Miss Pon is an evil spirit whereas Mr White is a dead body...imagine a dead body jumping towards you in the middle of the nite...then when you turn to run away, it block ur path bcos it was able to jump further than you can run...haha...I think most people would just faint on the spot =s...
As I said b4, I've never encounter Mr White b4...however, my sis have experienced it. Like me, my sis is a camp instructor. Usually, she would do her camp at P.Ubin..bcos the pay is higher there. However, P.Ubin is not the cleanest place around. There are many sightings of Pochong around there. Thank god I've never seen one despite staying overnite there countless times. Anyway, so during camp, there'll always be nite walks. So my sis was checking out a potential route when she saw it. Haha. She immedietaly went back home in the morning and for days after that, she kept getting nightmare about it visiting her. Only when my father got her a talisman did the nightmare stop. The place where the incident happen?...the route leading to the Noordin beach...haha...and that was the place where me and 4 of my sec mates camp overnite 3 yrs ago =s...and bcos of this incident, I can be assured that I wont be alone whenever I'm doing a nitewalk event in Ubin...bcos my sis will be staying v.v.close to me =/...ciao
